I had two clients today. Both very young, attractive girls who wanted to have their make up done for a special birthday night out with friends. There are a number of things to take into account when designing make up for clients. In no particular order;
What are they wearing? (colours, style..) Style will help you to see what they are like.
Where are they going? This will help with deciding the style of make up
What do they look like? (Hair and skin colour, eye colour)

Kim – Dark hair, pale skin, brown eyes. She was wearing a black top and pastel pink skirt. I decided upon purple for the eyes. This really brings out the brown and complimented her skirt. I went for a sculptured eye, great for evenings. I shaped her eyebrows, and used powder under the lower lash line to soften the make up.

For Kims’ friend – Blonde hair, pale skin with freckles, big blue eyes. She wore a black dress. I decided upon brown eye shadow to really accentuate her blue eyes. I shaped her eyebrows again (this is so often the area which is forgotton and is soooo important)! Lashings of mascara and a a beautiful pink lipstick.

They both looked great, shame I forgot to take pictures to show you all!
